Deposit on Your Time

Deposit checks electronically from your desktop!  Remote Deposit Capture utilizes a desktop scanner that connects to your computer and the Internet. With it, you can scan checks received from customers and issue deposits electronically to Citizens Bank, anytime day or night. It's the quickest way to turn check deposits into cash from the comfort of your own office.
 
Remote Deposit Capture is for use with a business account. It requires a completed Remote Deposit Capture Application which includes but is not limited to credit approval and on-site business review.

  • Save time preparing and taking check deposits to the Bank. Check deposits are now made at your desk, saving you and your employees the time of packaging your deposits for the Bank as well as the time it takes to get from your office to the Bank and back. This allows you and your staff more time in the office each day.
  • Make deposits anytime, day or night, 365 days a year. Now that you can make deposits at your desk, you have the freedom of making deposits on your schedule. Deposits submitted before 7pm PT on business days will credit to your account the same business day. A deposit made after 7pm PT, on weekends, or holidays will be credited the next business day.
  • Reduce the risk of check fraud. Now that checks are clearing faster, any problems will come to your attention sooner. This can increase your opportunity to act on bad checks.
  • Increase cash flow. If you have multiple stores or offices, you can streamline your deposits into the same account regardless of location. Eliminate having bank accounts at several different financial institutions, deposits can all be made to the same bank.
 

What do I need to use RDC?

Remote Deposit Capture is easy to use and setup on your computer. Below are the Workstation Prerequisites:
 
Browser:
  • Internet Explorer 11
  • Chrome, Firefox, Edge (Merchant Capture Only with RangerRemote)
 
Hardware: 
  • PC (minimum of one per branch and does not need to be dedicated to Branch Source Capture)
  • Scanner (minimum of one per branch)
  • Jogger (recommended to minimize scanner jams)
  • Monitor, Mouse and Keyboard
  • 2 GB free disk space(minimum)
  • 2.0 GHz processor (minimum) Dual Core or higher recommended
  • USB 2.0 port (minimum, for scanner)
 
Miscellaneous Software: 
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader (Version 3.0 or higher)
  • Silver Bullet Inc. Ranger Interface for scanner (provided by Fiserv)
  • Medical Informatics Engineering Alternatiff Image Viewer (provided by Fiserv)
 
Network Connectivity: 
  • Internet connection, 512Kb up/down (minimum recommended speed)
 
Operating System: 
  • Microsoft Windows 7
  • Microsoft Window 8
  • Microsoft Window 10

  • Citizens Bank Business Account (Additional forms and credit requirements apply. Please Contact your Branch of account for more details.)
 
Please note: Scanner should be connected directly to computer via USB port. USB hubs, laptop port replicators or docking stations will not work correctly with scanner drivers and application interface.
